Battles, heros, and victory

We saw the movie American Sniper.  It was a great film depicting the life of a military hero. It left me pondering many things.....
The fight of MANY to protect liberty and freedom.
The sacrifice of not only soldiers but the impact and sacrifice of the whole family.
The motive and heart of the enemy.
The evil in this world.
The underlying theme of not only this movie
but of all things in this world....
Good vs. evil
And then there is the outcome of the battle.
When you help others, they will hurt you.
Do you still fight the battle knowing the risk?

A chance to lose your life to protect the life of others....
that don't even know you.

It is a sacrifice.
God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
It impacts the whole family.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.
Psalm 145:13
To overcome the enemy and the evil of this world.
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21

We WILL get hurt.
Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12
But we have certainty of knowing the battle is won!
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57
