Lights in the City

{Trip to Greece, the unpacking continues…}

One evening, our missionary partner took us to St.George's chapel. It was an uphill hike, up several sets of stairs. By the time we made it to the top, it was dark and we were overlooking the city lights. We could see the entire city.

There were whole city blocks in darkness with only a few spots of lights. We spent some time praying for the city. Praying there would be LIGHT in the areas of darkness.
It has impressed upon me the great need to pray over our own city.

Father, we declare that this city is being delivered because the believers of this city acknowledge our poverty of spirit, by not looking to our own wisdom, but drawing from the wisdom that is from above. (Ecclesiastes 9:15).

Thank you, Father, that the mighty works You are bringing forth in our city are causing repentance and heart changes that will CONTINUE and REMAIN. (Matthew 11:21, 13).
