Ugly building, beautiful furniture

I saw this sign as we were driving home from a trip recently. I had to
stop and take a picture of it!  I just loved the honesty of this
advertisement.

There is a lot to be said for living in the truth and
finding true contentment!

This furniture store was definitely a basic building but certainly
adequate to meets the needs of the business.  It wasn't flashy on the
outside.  There weren't any blinking lights or grand decor.  It would
seem to be very ordinary.  I was reeled in by this concept. If it were
too dazzling building, it 'might' attract more customers.

But, do you really want to attract people to a store by the outside appearance
when they have no real interest in the inventory?

Then I got to the inside, a totally different story.   It was full of
incredible furniture! The room was rich with color and decor. If you
were in need of furniture, this place was not lacking in options. It
was full of different and unique style. It was beautiful!

Are you ever like this business?

Do you look at things according to the outward appearance?
If anyone is convinced in himself that he is Christs, let him again
consider this in himself, that just as he  is  Christs, even so we
are  Christs. (2 Corinthians 10:7 NKJV)
Do you wave a sign stating your ugliness on the outside while being
truly filled with beauty on the inside? You know you are God's
beautiful creation, but well.... if only  you were taller, thinner,
smaller, etc.

God doesn't make mistakes!  He certainly didn't when He made you!

You may think you just have the 'basics' or are just very ordinary. But
stop and think...do you want to put on a fake storefront, flashy
clothes, or dazzlingly jewelry to attract others that aren't really
interested in your true inventory?

Let it be  the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible
beauty  of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the
sight of God. (1 Peter 3:4 NKJV)
Charm  is  deceitful and beauty  is  passing, But a woman  who  fears
the Lord, she shall be praised. (Proverbs 31:30 NKJV)
